10 golden rules to win the game of life
“Every game has rules. Life’s a game that has its respective rules; obey the rules, win the game!”

Life is an uncertain game, filled with moving parts, changing environments and rules. Unfortunately, it does not come with a blueprint, so we wondered what would be the collective characteristics and patterns shared by hundreds of people who we think understood the game, so we’ve made this list of 10 rules to follow if you want to win the game of life.
1. Respect others who play the game
Treat the janitor with the same respect as you treat the company CEO!
Respect is such an exciting topic. It’s one of life’s lessons where people understand its value and importance too late in life. There is a certain elegance in going through life as a respectful individual, and you will find that by living this way, the world will respect you. It’s a compromise you make with the world, and we need more. Understand that majority are trying to play their own version of the game, a version you know nothing about, treat the janitor with the same respect as you treat a company CEO.
2. Forgive but Remember
Those who do not forgive are trapped in their own hatred, and those who forget are ready to repeat the same mistakes!
Forgiveness is not only about making peace with someone else, but it is also about making peace with yourself and allowing yourself to move forward. The dangerous part is that life events have a kind of cyclical nature, which means they tend to repeat themselves.
The “Forgive but don’t forget” rule seems aggressive, but it is instead a defence mechanism that will protect you when you evolve towards a different person who cannot be hurt by the same bullshit.
3. Be grateful for what you have and thirst for more
Gratitude gives meaning to the past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow!
Be thankful even for the little you have. But If you have more, be grateful for that, but be thankful! Life is a blessing, and you could have seen it much worse, so get rid of the feeling that life has mistreated you. Once you have made peace with your current reality and you realize that it is really sufficient, you release yourself and can finally have more.
Be aware that there is nothing worse than being trapped in the “life was unfair to me” trap.
4. Set clear and stimulating goals
There is no elevator to the floor of success, and you’ll have to take the stairs! And each goal you achieve is a new step!
Goals are like stages or like exciting quests you can have in life. Reaching your goals is like levelling up and increasing your chances. Smart objectives are precisely defined and make the journey much more enjoyable. Find goals that inspire you and reside outside of your comfort zone. These goals will empower you and help you move forward.
5. Focus on your own game
Be very busy improving yourself, so you don’t have time to criticize others!
We share this world with nearly 8 billion people, but each of us has a story to live with. You are responsible for yourself, your growth and your life journey. It’s good to find people who inspire you, people you can learn from, but don’t compare your book’s first chapter with someone’s last chapter.
“It’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game.” – Grantland Rice
6. Discipline your mind and also your actions
The more self-disciplined you become, the easier your life will become!
Very few people master the art of self-discipline, this happens because it is a difficult thing to do, and remember that not everyone deserves the benefits of such a valuable skill. Mastering discipline is probably the most important thing you can do to win the game of life, and then it’s only a matter of time until the goal you set becomes a reality.
7. Learn to listen much more than you speak
Nobody learned anything by hearing themselves speak!
If you are interested in winning the game of life, it’s about time to focus on real growth, the guy who just paid active attention to the world around you. It is time that you become a sponge of knowledge and quality information. There is not a person around you from whom you cannot learn something, and the brain has this strange problem where it does not allow information to come in while you’re talking, so close it and be careful. There is a good reason why you have two ears and one mouth.
8. Become resourceful
Invest in yourself. It pays the best dividends!
You are your greatest asset. You are the rain man, and you can bring rain into your life. A person who is truly valuable will always find a place in the market, will not only be able to support himself and his family but will be able to adapt and acquire new knowledge that will increase his value. Becoming precious is the only way to exchange your time and awareness for the things you want in life. What is your value? What value can you put in the world? That’s how much you are worth, and the world will reflect that in your reality.
9. All growth occurs outside your comfort zone
Growth and comfort do not coexist!
Growth comes from trying new things, failing, succeeding and uncomfortable conversations. How sad it would be to live your life in a little bubble without learning to know who you really are, You’ll discover that there are millions of other things that you find fascinating. Still, only once you leave your comfort zone, other points – you haven’t even considered it before.
10. Never quit the game
You can lose battles, you can have a hard time, but the game is only lost when you give up!
The only time the game is over is when you give up entirely! To win the game of life, you must be persistent. It will not happen overnight. You may need to make changes; you will need to pivot, innovate, rewrite, to make sure you get it. The challenge is to maintain this level of adaptability long enough until you get it. You can leave a particular challenge, but never leave the primary goal, because without it you will have to face a life of the very thing that is worth it. If times get tough, think about resting and not giving up.
